George Joseph Uhrich, age 94, passed away on October 11, 2025.  He was a resident of Wheaton, Illinois, and was formerly a resident of Palatine, Illinois, and Ft Myers Beach, Florida. George was born on July 15, 1931, to George W. and Rose Uhrich in Chicago, Illinois.

He enlisted in the army in 1951 and fought in the Korean war.  After serving in the army, he attended and graduated from the University of Illinois with a BS in Accounting.  While attending the university he met and married his wife Norma who he was married to for 64 years until her death in 2021.  George and Norma had four children, ten grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. George worked as a Finance executive in Chicago throughout his career. George enjoyed Boating, fishing and loved serving on the Board of Directors of Bayside Estates in Ft. Myers Beach Florida where George and Norma lived out their retirement years.

He was preceded in death by his wife Norma Uhrich, daughter Kathryn Uhrich and his sisters Ann Bolander and Kathryn Miller. He liked to tease his children, nieces, nephews, his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He was a bit of a jokester around his friends and family. His sense of humor will live on in our memories.
