George F. Locascio, age 84, a longtime resident of Park Ridge, IL passed away on June 23, 2022. He was born February 22, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois to Ignazio & Antonina Locascio.

George grew up in Chicago and worked his way through Fenwick High School and Loyola University. He majored in Philosophy and met Roberta Bernahl, who graduated from Mundelein College. He enjoyed a successful 40+year career in the insurance industry, first as an underwriter, then as an insurance broker for large commercial accounts.

He, with Roberta, traveled broadly across the US, Europe and the Caribbean. They enjoyed playing bridge in several groups and also regularly attended theater with friends. George could always be found working around his Park Ridge home on improvement projects. He loved reading and crossword puzzles. In retirement, they wintered in Hawaii and Florida.

He is survived by his four children Robert (Christine Colon) Locascio of Wheaton, David (Victoria) Locascio of Houston, TX, James (Margaret) Locascio of Wheaton and Julie Locascio of Washington D.C., 6 grandchildren, Lauren, Alexis, Jackson, Spencer, Gwendolyn and Sara.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta, who died in 2019, his parents, three sisters and a brother.

A private interment was held at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles, Illinois. The family will issue an invitation for a memorial mass later this year.
