Georganne M.
Vanadia
January 24, 1956 – December 20, 2020
Georganne M Vanadia "Gia", age 64 of Hanover Park Illinois passed away December 20, 2020 at St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates Illinois. Georganne passed away as a result of complications from COVID-19. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Anne Lathrop of Des Plaines Illinois. Georganne completed nursing school early so she could spend her entire professional life dedicating herself to others.
She is survived by her loving husband Ronald Vanadia and three children, Anthony Vanadia, Michael Vanadia, and Joseph Vanadia. She constantly imparted her wisdom to serve others. She was never too tired or busy to listen. Georganne was kind, loyal, and loved to laugh. She said "I love you" constantly to those in her circle.
Her hobbies included attending estate sales, reading, getting a good manicure, cooking large meals, and spending time with her family & friends including trips to the mall, a good movie, and July 4th outings. One of her favorite things was having a house full of loved ones. She was laid to rest at Hultgren Funeral Home on Monday December 28th, 2020. We will celebrate her life at a later date when it is safe for family and friends to gather together again.
"If roses grow in heaven,
Lord please pick a bunch for me,
Place them in Georganne's arms
and tell her they're from me.
Tell her I love her and miss her,
and when she turns to smile,
place a kiss upon her cheek
and hold her for a while.
Because remembering her is easy,
I do it every day,
but there's an ache within my heart
that will never go away."
