Geneva Hutchens, age 73, a longtime resident of Wheaton, died Monday, December 25, at Community Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Naperville. She was born September 2, 1933 in Murray, KY.
Geneva was a longtime member of Glen Ellyn Bible Church where she served in the choir and in the nursery. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, singing and listening to music, and travelling. She was known for being an excellent seamstress and knitter.
She is survived by her two children, Pamela (Timothy) Kifer of Aurora, and Michael (Susan) Hutchens of Kingston, MI; three grandchildren, Jacob, Stephen, and Jared Hutchens; her sister, Mary Frances Hurt of Murray, KY; her brother, John Walter Kimbro also of Murray, KY; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Bobby; two brothers; and two sisters.
Services and interment will be held at a later date in Murray, KY.
