Regrettably we must inform famiily and friends of the passing of Gayle Reed (nee Koszut), a long time resident of Wheaton. She succumbed to a short illness and hospitalization and left us peacefully at home with family on February 1st. She was born April 1, 1948 in Chicago. She was preceded by her parents Edward and Irene Koszut of Roseland. Gayle enjoyed photography and painting. Her love for wildlife and nature inspired many around her and she volunteered at Willowbrook Wildlife Center in Glen Ellyn. Gayle also enjoyed buying and selling antique dolls and founded her company, Computer Directions.

She enjoyed life being married to Peter Reed for 52 years and raising two beautiful daughters, Amy Reed Tavolino (husband Jerry Tavolino) and Wendy Reed Cahill (husband Jim Cahill). She adored her grandchildren, Abigail, Jerry, Nick and Jamie.
