Obituary
Gary Oviatt, age 63, a longtime resident of Wheaton, IL, passed away suddenly on July 1, 2018. He was born September 22, 1954 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Sarah Davis and Ellwood Oviatt.
Gary grew up in Evans City, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Wheaton College and then earned a law degree from Washington and Lee University. He married Lisa Rosti on October 17, 1981. He had his own law practice until 1985 when he began work in the insurance industry. He was most recently a Senior Environmental Claims Adjuster for Nationwide Insurance.
He enjoyed long-distance running along the prairie path, weight lifting, gardening, photography, and hiking through the local forest preserves.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Oviatt, two sons, Benjamin Oviatt and Glenn Oviatt (fiance Mary), three siblings, David Oviatt (wife Susan), Cora Oviatt, and Linda Kucharski (husband Gary). He was preceded in death by his parents.
A private family visitation and funeral service will be held at Hultgren Funeral Home with a private interment to follow.
