Gary Lloyd, age 83, died Wednesday, November 28 at his home in Wheaton, IL. He was born January 29, 1935, in Detroit, MI and was the son of Alexander C. and Edna (nee Beach) Lloyd.

Gary graduated from Michigan State University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and from the University of Chicago with an MBA. He was employed by Plymouth Tube Company from 1958 until he retired in 2000. Gary served in the Army Reserves from 1958 to 1961 when he was called to active duty in 1962 at Ft. McClellan, Alabama. He received an honorable discharge in 1962 with the rank of Captain and resumed his employment at Plymouth Tube Company.

In retirement, Gary and Sharon enjoyed travel and spending time at their vacation home in Michigan with their children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon (nee Foerster), daughters Amelia (Anthony) Asta and Rebecca (Gary) Lemna; sons Thomas (Cheryl) Lloyd and Peter (Tracy) Lloyd; grandchildren Emma and Anne Asta, Alexander, Rachael and Ruth Lemna, Brandon and Nicholas Stahl, Peter, Grace and Jackson Lloyd along with many nieces and nephews, sisters in law Dianne (Michael) Coutant and Katherine (Michael) Ross. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Marilyn (Robert) Wood.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 15 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Gary United Methodist Church, 224 N. Main Street, Wheaton. A light lunch will be served in the Gary Church Commons after the service; all are welcome.
