Gage Allen Rosti, age 72, a resident of Algonquin, and formerly of Wheaton, died suddenly, Saturday, March 18, at home. He was born on April 5, 1933 to George H. and Emily G. Rosti in Syracuse, NY.
He served in the US Army Signal Corps and attended Wheaton College. He worked for 25 years for Bell Labs in Naperville. After he retired, he worked for Du Page Photo Shop in Wheaton.
Gage was an amateur photographer and enjoyed model railroading, reading, acquiring trivia and cooking. He was a member of the Morton Arboretum and was an avid gardener.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ethel Mae, three children, Lisa (Gary) Oviatt of Wheaton, Gage H. (Mary) Rosti of Warrenville, and Alayne (Mark) Zahara of Algonquin, nine grandchildren, Ben and Glenn Oviatt, Andrew, Matthew, Samuel, Michael and Emily Rosti, Olivia and Joshua Zahara, one sister Margaret (Richard) Cyrier of Rockford.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 21, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton, where services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery.
