Frankie J. Romero, age 31, a resident of Elgin, IL, died suddenly Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at Sherman Hospital in Elgin, Illinois. He was born March 18, 1980 in Santiago, Chile.
He attended Lake Park High School in Roselle. He loved music and was very talented especially on the guitar. He loved to draw and was very artistic. He loved being an uncle and was very family oriented. As a boy he played baseball and football. He was an outgoing person and had a great sense of humor. He was known for always being well dressed. He loved the Lord and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his mother, Litvana Romero, one brother, Leonardo (Summerlove) Romero of Aurora, one sister, Karyn Romero of Elgin, two nieces Mariah Romero and Lola Romero and two nephews, Benji and Jaime Romero. He is also survived by his aunt and uncle Sandra and Milo Carrasco of Elgin and his close family friend Art Swiderski.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leonardo Francisco Romero.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 12 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton, where a funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at River Hills Memorial Park in Batavia, Illinois.
