Frank John Stasiak, age 83, a resident of Wheaton for 18 years, died Sunday, August 29, at home. He was born March 9, 1921 in Evanston, IL.
Mr. Stasiak served during World War II as a Sargeant in the Army. He was a master craftsman in his field, a carpenter by trade and an avid woodworker. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a member of the Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Agnes Irene; his four children, Wini (Merrill) Albertus of Wheaton, Joan (Mark) Cederquist of Doraville, GA, Vikki (John) Martino of West Chicago, Jim (Kathleen) of Lake Villa; seven grandchildren, Patrick, Marta, Kris, Tim, Drew, Leigh, and Joey; three great-grandchildren, Kyle, Kaelin, and Cameron; and his sister, Jane.
He was preceded in death by his sister, and two brothers.
A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, September 1, at 10:00 A.M. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 0S 233 Church St., in Winfield. Interment is private.
