Frank Schoenborn, age 83, a resident of Winfield, IL, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 15, 2024, surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He was born on September 20, 1940, in Yugoslavia, now Serbia, to Anton Schoenborn and Anna Mayer as their youngest son. He then spent his early childhood in East Germany, before immigrating to the U.S. in 1952 at the age of 11.

In 1960, Frank met and married Joanne "Joan" Palmer. Soon after, they started JFS Inc. It was Frank's hard work and determination that contributed to their success as the largest franchise organization of Brown's Chicken & Pasta, with multiple locations throughout the Chicagoland area.

Frank also enjoyed doing handiwork around his home and the homes of his daughters, watching sports (especially hockey), and spending quality time with his loving family.

He is survived by his daughters, Sandra Price and Marianne (Dan) Veenstra, his grandchildren, Ralph (Stephanie) Price and Kaitlyn Paschke, as well as his sister Annemarie (Boyd) Anderson.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, from 1 to 2 p.m., with a funeral service starting at 2 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton. Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery in Wheaton, Illinois. Afterward, there will be a celebration luncheon at Eddie Merlot's 28254 Diehl Rd, Warrenville at 4:00 p.m.
