Frank Luis Montalva, age 90, died peacefully in his home in Wheaton on October 5, 2011. He was born on October 3, 1921 in Seattle, Washington.

He was a WWII Navy Veteran serving two of those years in the South Pacific. He worked for a Veteran's Hospital in Los Angeles, California and at Hines Veteran's Hospital in Maywood, Illinois.

He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Wheaton.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years Bernice nee Brucker, daughters Diane Lipman, Joanne (Donald) Clifford, Annette (Martin) Cohen and Mary (Lee) Sienkowski, fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. on Sunday, October 9 at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton. Funeral will be held on Monday, October 10 at 10:00 am at St. John Lutheran Church, 410 N. Cross, Wheaton. Interment is at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois on Tuesday, October 11 at 11:30 am.
