Obituary

Frank Garcia, age 84, a longtime resident of Naperville, Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, December 19, at Season's Hospice in Naperville, He was born November 3, 1932 in Chicago to Josephine Maldonado and Frank Garcia.

He grew up in Laredo, Mexico. He met Armandina Escoto through family friends and they were married on September 24, 1952. As a young man he was a professional boxer who was trained by Tony Zale. He worked for Richard O'Schultz in Elmwood Park as a Tool and Die Maker, where he stayed until he retired. They raised their family in Forest Park and moved to Naperville in Retirement to be near their children. Frank enjoyed fishing, camping and boating. He could fix anything including automobiles. He worked hard to provide for his family. His family was most important part of his life.

He survived by his wife Armandina of 64 years, they have six children, John Garcia, Frank Garcia Jr., Olga (Michael) Hamilton, Armandina (Dale) Goetz, Julius (Gloria) Garcia, Robert Garcia, 10 grandchildren, Michelle, Michael, Jennifer, Matthew, Jill, Michael, Ashley, Julius, Faith and Sofia. 8 great grandchildren, Rebecca, Jessica, Jack, Ariena, Aubrina, Matthew, Samantha and Kimber, and 2 great, great grandchildren, Ace Daniel & Arabella. He is also survived by 5 siblings.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Felix Garcia.

A memorial service will be held at St. Michael's Catholic Church located 310 S. Wheaton Avenue, Wheaton, Il 60187 on December 28th at 12:00 pm
