Francis "Frank" Georgell, age 74, a longtime resident of Wheaton, IL, died Monday, September 22, 2014, at University of Chicago Hospital in Chicago, IL. He was born March 31, 1940 in Philadelphia, PA to Robert and Teresa Georgell.

Frank was a graduate of Gerard College in Philadelphia, PA. He later was graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Psychology. He served as a Captain in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He later continued his studies in Psychology at the University of Nebraska in Omaha. He was an avid golfer, a private pilot, and a classical music and opera aficionado. He also volunteered with the DuPage County Sheriff's Office as a Deputy. He was a lifetime member of the Penn State Alumni Association.

He was an extensive world traveler and made Hawaii, specifically Kauai, his beloved winter destination for 28 years.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Judith Leigh Georgell; two children, Holly Ann of Grosse Pointe, MI, and Robert Thomas of Grand Rapids, MI; his beloved dog, Pippin.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 26, 2014 from 3-8 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held September 27, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
