Frances Culverwell Hiley, age 101, a resident of Wheaton, IL, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 13, 2014, at Wynscape Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wheaton, IL. She was born January 23, 1913 in Washington DC to Jennie and Asa Culverwell.
Frances attended the University of Maryland. She was married to Eugene W. Hiley in 1933 and moved to Baltimore, MD in 1939. She was the Appraiser in Charge at US Customs for the port of Baltimore. She moved to Clearwater Beach, FL in 1973 and was the teacher for the Women's Bible Class at the Clearwater Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Esther (Paul) Nelson of Carol Stream, IL; her two sons, Paul (Phyllis) Hiley of Harvey Cedars, NJ, and Eugene (Sherry) Hiley of Steilacoom, WA; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene, in 1999; and her sister, Esther Case Culverwell in 1987.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until the start of a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL. Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery in Wheaton, IL.
