Florence R. Christensen's Obituary
Florence R. Christensen, age 94, a former resident of LaGrange Park, died Saturday, March 14 at the Fairview Baptist Home in Downers Grove. She was born on December 9, 1914 in Danville, IL to Charles A. and Mildred C. Rutschman.
Florence married Edward H. Christensen on September 21, 1940 in Brookfield, IL .
She was a long-time member of the First Presbyterian Church of LaGrange IL, and she was an active volunteer in the Girl Scouts of America and Meals on Wheels. She loved being with her family and friends, and especially enjoyed her bridge club.
She is survived by her children Janet Christensen of Wheaton IL, Janene (Curt) Schoning of Lombard IL, James (Julie) Christensen of Cortland NY, Joann (Rick) Ryan of Aurora IL; and her 7 beloved grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her brothers Richard, Eugene, and Robert.
Services will be held privately. Interment was private at Clarendon Hills Cemetery.
