Fides Ann Dela Cruz, age 37, a resident of Wheaton, IL, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 6, 2017, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Illinois. She was born July 26, 1980 in the Philippines the firstborn of five girls and her name means "Faith."

"DheyDhey", as she was known to her family, and "Fish" to her friends, she studied in the Philippines. Her first degree with in Psychology and then went on earn a Bachelor's degree in Nursing. She worked at Jecson Medical Center in the Philippines and then worked for two years in Japan, prior to moving to the United States. She worked as a nurse in Miami and moved to Wheaton two years ago where she worked at Wheaton Care Center. She was a hard-working, down-to-earth, private person who will be remembered as someone who was always helping others.

She is survived by her parents, Edna and June Dela Cruz, four sisters, Dabing, Paton, Cacay, and ME, and her niece, Carlee. She is also survived by close friends and extended family who have been surrounding her through her illness.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 8, from 3:00 to 4:00 at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, where a funeral service follow at 4:00 p.m.. Interment will be held in Tarlac City, Philippines.
