Fern L. Catanzaro, age 92, a resident of Naperville, IL, died Thursday, October 27, 2016, at Journey Care Hospice in Barrington, IL. She was born June 24, 1924 in Chicago, IL.

Fern was always very involved in her local church. She enjoyed leading Bible Studies, and teaching Sunday School. She volunteered with Pioneer Girls and also at the Tabor Hills Gift Shop. She loved her family and spending time with them.

She is survived by her daughters, Victoria Fairchild of Maryland, and Margaret "Margy" (Robert) Mortensen of Naperville, IL; ten grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; and her sister, Barbra Austin of Mundelein, IL.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, John; her daughter, Gay Cook; her sister, Fae Davis; and her brother, Louis "Bud" Steichman.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until the start of a funeral service to be held at 11:00 a.m. at Warrenville Bible Chapel , 4S157 Curtis Ave, in Warrenville, IL. Interment will be private at Irving Park Cemetery in Chicago, IL.
