Obituary

Everett K. Harris, age 88, a former resident of Geneva for over 50 years, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2007 in Kankakee. He was born on July 9, 1918 in Cody, Nebraska to Ross and Stella Harris.

Everett served in the U.S. Air Force for 5 years. He worked at All Steel in Aurora as a project engineer until retirement.

He was active at the Wheaton Evangelical Free Church and was a member of the Homebuilders' Adult Bible Fellowship at the church. He was also a member of Wayne Twp. Seniors Center and the Electric Car Club.

Everett had a keen interest in missions, having served on many short-term missions projects in such countries as Sweden, Hong Kong, France and twice to Scotland. In addition, he traveled to China, Japan, Macau, Singapore, Thailand, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, England and Ireland.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Helen Mavis Harris. He is survived by one brother, Grayle Harris, one sister, Ellyn Sandall and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 6 , from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton with Dr. Fred Dickason oficiating. Interment will follow at River Hills Cemetery, Batavia.
