Evelyn A. Tesnow, age 95, a resident of Warrenville, IL since 1946, died Monday, January 16, 2012, at Edward Hospital in Naperville, Illinois surrounded by her family. She was born April 10, 1916 in Chicago.

Evelyn married Henry Tesnow on November 2, 1940. She raised her family in Warrenville and then worked for Wheaton School District 200 for 25 years. She was a former member of St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton. She loved traveling and family.

She is survived by three children, Richard (Lucille) Tesnow of Yorkville, Elizabeth (William) Fessler of Warrenville, and Charles Tesnow of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, six grandchildren, Robert (Cindy) Tesnow, Edward Tesnow, Allyson Fessler, Saralyn Schauz, Tricia (Dale) Grimm, and Grant (Kathy) Tesnow, and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry in 1959, daughter-in-law, Patricia Tesnow in 2007.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 21, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, where a funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. David Anderson officiating. Private interment will be held at Chapel Hill Gardens West in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to Orphan Grain Train, (ogt.org) or the Lutheran Hour Ministries (lhm.org)
