Obituary

Eunice M. Swanson, 79, a resident of the Holmstad of Batavia, formerly of Minneapolis, MN, and Chatham, NJ, died January 12th. She was born in Minneapolis on June 17, 1925.

Eunice was very active at Long Hill Chapel Church in Chatham NJ. She was a Sunday School teacher and Bible School leader for over 40 years, as well as being a regular in the church bell choir. She was also involved in the church outreach as a Bible Study leader in a local Nursing Home in Chatham. In the past few years she greatly enjoyed the fellowship of the people at the Holmstad in Batavia. She was known for her love of the Lord and her family.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert; her son, Wayne (Joan) Swanson; her daughter, Marlene (Ward) Rau; her grandchildren, Eric, Christopher, Stefan, and Gwen Swanson, Jeff (Meg) Rau, and Jessica (Adam) Lofbomm.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Loraine Olson, Winnie Linquist, and Lucille Deveney.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 15, from 12:00 P.M. until the time of a service at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Wheaton, 1310 N. Main Street with Rev. Mike Rowe officiating. Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery.
