Obituary

Eugene "Gene" F. Feazel, age 79, a longtime resident of Wheaton, died Monday, August 17, 2009, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL. He was born June 10, 1930 in Chicago, IL.

Gene served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. After the war he earned a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine and began his practice in the Chicago area. He was a member of the Faith Covenant Church in Wheaton. He enjoyed playing billiards with his friends. He was dedicated to his wife and spent many hours caring for her.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Clarice; his two children, Joseph (Glennys) of Reno, NV, and Brenda (Geoff) Callaway of Wheaton; four grandchildren, Joseph, Corey, and Megan Feazel, and Claire Callaway; and his nephews and nieces, John (Debbie) Mooses, Eileen (Craig) Isakson, and Fred Eremo.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Rosella.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 21, 2009 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of a funeral service at 12:00 P.M. at Faith Covenant Church, 2001 Lakeview Dr., in Wheaton (on the north side of Butterfield Road, across the street from the Herrick Lake Forest Preserve, approximately 2 miles west from Naperville Road or 1.25 miles east of Winfield Road).

Interment will be private at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Sandwich, IL.
