Ethel M. Woolf, age 83, a resident of Glen Ellyn, and formerly of Wheaton, died Sunday, October 14, at home. She was born August 8, 1924 in Warrington, England.
Ethel was a member of the Wheaton Women's Department Club, Gadabouts, and the Wheaton Garden Club. She was an avid reader, golfer, bridge player and enjoyed traveling. She was a member of Gary United Methodist Church in Wheaton.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Irving W. Woolf; her four children, Dr. Irving A. (Elsie) Woolf of Maple Grove, MN, Dr. Alan (Linda) Woolf of Melrose, MA, Janice (Robert) Hazen of Naperville, Paul (Rebecca) Woolf of Oak Ridge, NC; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her brother, Arthur (Barbara) Churm of Wheaton; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Miriam Churm.
A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 17, from 6-9 P.M. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 18, at 11:00 A.M. at Gary United Methodist Church, 224 N. Main St., in Wheaton. Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery.
