Ethel E. Sandeberg, age 88, of Montello, WI died peacefully on Wednesday, July 6, at Wynscape Nursing Center in Wheaton. She was born September 10, 1916 in Chicago to Ivar and Gerdie Johnson.

Ethel continued living in Montello, WI for as long as she could because her heart was there in the small and wonderful little town that is filled with loving and caring people. Her family is grateful to all of you.

She is survived by her daughter, Ellen (Len) Thorpe of West Chicago; her daughter-in-law, Marcia Jacobsen of Tucson, AZ; six grandchildren, Richard (Carol), Glenn (Patricia) Jacobsen, Jennifer (Kelly) Poarch, David (Kris) Moxley, Kristina (Shannon) Lynch, and Brooke Buchanan; two step-grandchildren, Robert, and Len Thorpe Jr.; and eight beautiful and healthy great-grandchildren, Taylor, Connor, Joshua, Alexandra, Ryan, Meagan, Noah and Chloe.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Jacobsen; her second husband, Clarence Sandeberg; her son, Ronald Jacobsen; her brother, Harry Johnson; and her sister-in-law, Alvera Johnson.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 8, 12:00 P.M. at Memorial Park Cemetery, 9900 Gross Point Road in Skokie.
