Esther Marie Peterson, age 58, a resident of Aurora, IL, died Tuesday, August 2, 2011, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL. She was born September 6, 1952 in St. Louis, MO.

Esther worked for the Wheaton College Book Store and was a member of the Faith Evangelical Covenant Church where she served as a deacon. Her life was a testimony of God's faithfulness, grace, and mercy as she ministered to all she knew, and many she didn't, with her servant heart and godly faithfulness.

She is survived by her husband, Melvin Peterson of Aurora, IL; her two brothers, Robert "Rick" (Renae) Piquard of Greenwood, IN, and William "Doug" (Kim) Piquard of Whitinsville, MA; six nieces and nephews, Nathan (Sharise), Leah and Rebecca, Christina, Justin and Richard Piquard; her great niece, Eve Piquard; her three "sons", Cary (Kate), Craig (Robyn) and Chris (Charyl) Peterson; ten "grandchildren", Sydney, Nick, Alec and Emily, Tayler, Tanner and Trevor, and Sara, Tim and Lauren;

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Eugene and Alice Marie Piquard, nee Campbell; and her nephew, Jonathan Piquard.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of a memorial service to be held at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Evangelical Covenant Church, 2001 Lakeview Dr, Wheaton, IL 60189. Interment will be private.
