Esther P. Laughlin, age 89, died Monday, January 28th, 2019, at home in Wheaton, IL. She was born June 4th, 1929 in Sabinsville, PA, and had been a Wheaton resident for 60 years.

Esther worked for 31 years as a Circulation Editor at National Association of Evangelicals, in Carol Stream, IL. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed baking, needle work, puzzles, and the comfort of a good book. She was a faithful member of the Wheaton Wesleyan Church.

She is survived by her children, Judith Laughlin, of Wheaton, IL and Timothy (Margaret) Laughlin of Itasca, IL; her six grandchildren, Kathryn (Shawn) Johnson, Ryan (Lisa) Underwood, Amanda Laughlin, Molly (Dennis) Barron, Michael Laughlin and Jessica Laughlin; her three great-grandchildren, Everly and Meredith Johnson, and Felix Underwood; her brother, Allison (Joyce) Baker; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, David N. Laughlin; her daughter Letitia Underwood; and her siblings Marshall (Helen) Baker and Janice (James) Brown.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 2nd, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. until the start of the service at 4:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL 60187. Interment will be private.
