Erwin I. Schlifke's Obituary
Erwin I. Schlifke, age 92, a resident of Wheaton, IL died Thursday, February 18, 2010 at the DuPage Convalescent Center in Wheaton, IL. He was born August 30, 1917 in Chicago, IL.
As a young man, Erwin was an Eagle Scout. He graduated from IIT, formerly known as Armor Tech, in Chicago with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He served in the Army/Air Corps during World War II.
He is survived by his sons, James, and Robert (Audrey); his daughter-in-law, Jackie; nine grandchildren, Angie, Lyndee, Bradley, and Zachary, Adam, Michelle, and Alana, and Marla and Matthew; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie; and his son, Richard.
Services and interment are private at Waldheim Cemetery in Forest Park, IL.
