Obituary
Ernest J. Walton, age 48, a resident of Wheaton, died Wednesday, August 31. He was born on August 26, 1957 in Washington D.C. to Steve and Dorothy Walton.
Ern graduated from DePaul Law School. He practiced for many years as a workers compensation attorney for Liberty Mutual. In recent years he had a private practice in Bloomingdale. He was an active member of the Wheaton Evangelical Free Church where he taught an adult bible fellowship. He enjoyed spending time with his wife and daughters whom he dearly loved, being involved with their activites. His good sense of humor and love of debate will be missed by all.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Cheryl nee Johnson, three daughters, Sarah, Rachel, and Elizabeth, his parents, two brothers, Johnny (Bonnie) Walton and Doug (Carrie) Walton, one sister Susan (Kevin) Van Deusen, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Vickie.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 2, from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Wheaton Evangelical Free Church, 520 E. Roosevelt Rd. in Wheaton, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. A private family interment will be held.
Memorials may be directed to Breakthrough Urban Ministries, 3330 W. Carroll Ave., Chicago, IL 60624.
