Ernest M. Reynolds, age 91, a resident of Goshen, Indiana and formerly of Bartlett and Carol Stream, Illinois, died on Monday, May 16, 2016 at Greencroft Healthcare in Goshen. He was born on April 23, 1925 in Elkhart, Indiana to Ernest and Ruth Reynolds.

On August 5, 1945 he married Gertrude (Trudy) Kratzer in Elkhart, Indiana, while he was in the US Army. While in Elkhart  he was employed by the Conn Organ Corporation and in 1968 they moved to the Chicago area where he worked for Hammond Organ Corporation. He retired after serving as Sales manager  for Evangelical Purchasing and Equipment Sales division of the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE). In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking and amateur radio (wb9hbk).

He and Trudy were active in the Addison Bible Church and in recent years were members of the Wheaton Evangelical Free Church (now Compass church).

Ernie is survived by two children, Michael B.(Sherri) Reynolds of Markle Indiana, Carolee R (Bill) Jenkins of Carol Stream, Illinois, four grandchildren, Chad (Jennifer) Reynolds, Sherylee (Rick) Dodge, Robin (Dave) Schwarz, Katie (Brad) Garling, 7 grandchildren and 3 siblings, Donald (Kathryn) Reynolds, Eleanor Griffith, Norman (Vera) Reynolds.

He was preceded in death by his wife Trudy in 2009 and his parents.

Funeral services will be held at The Compass Church Wheaton Campus, 520 E. Rooselvelt Rd in Wheaton on Monday, May 23 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Burt Kettinger officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 9:00 until the service at 11:00. Interment will be held at Mt. Emblem Cemetery.
