Obituary
Erik A. Gustavsson, age 94, a resident of Wheaton since 1995, died on Thursday, March 4, at Belmont Village. He was born on July 29, 1910 in Foglo, Finland in the Aland Islands.
In the 1940's he came to the United States and moved to the Chicago area. He worked as a carpenter for the Standard Oil Company.
He is survived by one daughter, Ruth and many nieces and nephews in the U.S. and Finland.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Mary, seven brothers and two sisters.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 6 at 3:00 p.m. at the Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton, with visitation from 11:00 until 4:00 p.m. Interment will be held privately.
Memorials may be directed to the Parkinsons Foundation or CNS Hospice of Du Page, 690 E. North Ave., Carol Stream, IL 60188.
