Eric D
Martinson
October 8, 1979 – March 10, 2019
Eric D. Martinson, age 39, a resident of Wheaton, was born October 8 th , 1979 and passed away on March 10 th 2019 after a 13-month battle with Leukemia.
Eric loved life. He loved new challenges and new adventures. Travels abroad and time at home with Tiffani, turtle and 2 cats. Time with friends and time with family. Saturday's were for sleeping-in and cooking shows and week days were for doing what he truly loved… teaching.
According to a friend and colleague, "He was truly a shining light at College of DuPage -- beloved by his students, colleagues and administrators. Eric was the first to volunteer his time for the smallest or biggest task, no questions asked."
Eric was a very bright light in this world and will leave behind a brilliant shine.
Eric's faith in Jesus Christ was strong and unwavering. Shortly after diagnosis Eric stated "I'm not at all afraid. I've nothing to fear regardless of the outcome. My news will either be good because I beat cancer or great because I'm in Heaven, I hurt for Tif, I never want her to hurt. That's my pain."
He is survived by his wife, Tiffani, his parents Randy and Diana Martinson, his sisters Kristi (Jason) Nowell, Staci (Tim) Kirkpatrick and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL. Visitation will continue at Wheaton Bible Church, 27W500 North Ave., West Chicago, IL on Thursday, March 14, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. More than anything else, Eric would be deeply honored by your presence at the celebration of his life and faith this Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. at Wheaton Bible Church.
