Epifania Lopez Diaz, age 74, a beloved mother, sister and grandma passed away peacefully at Elmhurst Hospital, on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. She was born on January 30, 1950, in San Pedro Ocotlan, Mexico to Domitilo and Facunda Lopez, the first of two sisters between her dad and mom.

Epifania spent her early years in Mexico where at the age of 39 together with her son one of her three children migrated to the United States Chicago IL. She worked for a couple of years until she became a homestay mom.

She loved Acapulco Tropical songs and loved dancing. She loved attending family parties and loved attending her grandkids soccer games. She loved cooking her favorite native Mexican dishes. She always prayed for all her kids and grandkids even extended family.

Epifania is survived by her loving daughter, two sons and her long time partner; her adored grandkids.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home in Carol Stream. A funeral mass service will take place on the same day at 7 p.m. The service will be livestreamed beginning at 7:00 p.m. CDT through this link: Funeral Service for Epifania Lopez Diaz .
