Emilia Hossu, age 78, a resident of Wheaton, IL, died at home on Friday, March 13, 2015 with her husband Benjamin at her side.
Emilia was born on November 20, 1936 in Cluj, Romania to John and Ana Foia who preceded her into God's glory.
Emilia was a dedicated servant of Jesus Christ and together with Benjamin were members of the Romanian Baptist Church in Des Plaines, IL, where they worshiped the Lord.
She is survived by her husband, Benjamin Hossu. They were only weeks away from their 60th wedding anniversary.
Seeking Divine comfort for their great loss of a beloved mother, grandmother, sister (in law), aunt are: her sons Daniel (Rodica) Longyne, Valentin (Corina) Hossu, her brothers John (Marilena) Foia, Victor (Diane) Foia, her grandchildren: Ruthie, Jessica, Christopher, Cindy and Philip, her great granddaughter Ella, her nieces and nephews Adriana and Diana, Justin and Timothy and so many more in a family that stretches across the world.
A visitation will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 17 at 10:00 a.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL, followed by a graveside service at the Wheaton Cemetery 1209 Warrenville Road, Wheaton, IL.
Most of the services will be conducted in Romanian
