Elsie "Betty" Irving Warren, age 94, a resident of Wheaton for the past 83 years, passed away on Sunday, January 15. She was born on August 27, 1911 in Glen Ellyn.

Betty was a graduate of St. Luke's School of Nursing in Chicago in 1933. She then worked at the Children's Convalescent Home, located where Wheaton Academy is now. She was an honorary member of the Kiwanis Club of Wheaton, a member of the Wheaton Chapter of the OES #506, a Girl Scout leader, member and Sunday School Teacher at Trinity Episcopal Church, actively involved with the Wheaton PTA, and also a member of the Wheaton Park District Silvertones. She worked alongside her husband, Harold, at the Irving's NuWay Laundry and Dry Cleaners in Glen Ellyn until her retirement in 1975.

She is survived by her three daughters, Betty Ann (Rev. David) Libby of North Brookfield, Massachusetts, Barbara (Jerry) Minnear of Tucson, AZ and Fran Nagel of Wheaton; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; her sister, Sarah G. Cleave of Wheaton; and her brother, Richard H. Irving Jr. of Surprise, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Harold; and her sister, Virginia Haas.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 24, from 9:30 A.M. until the time of a service at 10:30 A.M. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton with Rev. David Libby officiating. Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery.
