Obituary
Elmer Sonn, age 93, a longtime resident of Carol Stream, died Thursday, February 22, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. He was born July 28, 1913 in Chicago.
He worked as a machine setup for 35 years with Harry Davies Molding Company. He was a movie buff and a coin collecting enthusiast.
He is survived by his five children, Gus Sonn of Carol Stream, Robert Sonn of Henderson, NV, Patricia (Robert) Kaempfe of Crystal Lake, Jeff Sonn of Carol Stream, and Susan (Albert) Fontana of West Chester; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 17 years, Katherine; and two brothers, Harry, and Arthur.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 10, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel at Wheaton Bible Church, corner of Main and Franklin Streets. Interment is private at St. Joseph Cemetery in River Grove.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the Elmer Sonn Memorial Fund, c/o 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL 60187.
