Ellen Jenne Oswald, age 77, of Johns Creek, Georgia and recently of Aurora, Illinois, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 19th.
She was born on February 25, 1938 in Ogdensburg, New York. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hollis Leroy Jenne and Hazel Harper Jenne of Potsdam, NY. Ellen was a public school teacher in Cedar Grove, NJ; Clarkstown, NY and Fulton County, GA.
Ellen was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church in Roswell, Georgia. During her lifetime, she was a member of the Gideons Auxiliary, and served with Pioneer Girls, Awana and Bible Memory Association. She also served as a deacon's wife and contributed time and treasure to many other charitable organizations and missionaries.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Oswald of Aurora, IL and two daughters: Linda (Bruce) Walz of West Chicago, IL and Karen (Scott) Davis of Naperville, IL. She is also survived by her brother, Dean (Cindy) Jenne of Morrisonville, NY and her sister, Sharon Shannon of Watertown, NY.
Ellen adored her six grandchildren: Jason Michael, Tanya Nicole, Alex "Sasha" Dean, Kenneth Nathaniel, Dariya Grace and Sterling James.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 24, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until the start of a funeral service to be held at 10:00 a.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 North Main Street, Wheaton, IL 60187, with Pastor Dale Williams officiating.
A private committal service will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, in Elwood, IL.
