Ellen Hedstrom, nee Bowler, age 91, a resident of Mayslake Village in Oak Brook, IL, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, Illinois. She was born March 24, 1927.

Ellen met Robert "Bob" Hedstrom (class of '50), her husband of 64 years, at the Stupe at Wheaton College. They were married January 1, 1946. She was a longtime resident of Wheaton where she was an active member of the Wheaton Evangelical Free Church, now Compass Church, where she served as a deaconess and was a member of the Kupples Klass.

She is survived by 3 daughters; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bob, and her parents, Roger and Ruby Bowler.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL 60187. A committal service will be held on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois.
