Elizabeth Langdon Schwark, age 64, died July 5, 2021 peacefully at her home in Wheaton, Illinois. She was born September 16, 1956, to the late David and Maebetty Langdon. She will always be remembered as an adoring wife, a loving mother, and a proud grandmother.

Beth grew up in Beverly, on the southside of Chicago, with her 4 sisters and brother. Most would say Beth was the life of the party wherever she went. She was working at VMS when she met James, and the two fell in love and married in 1981. Jim and Beth built a house in Wheaton where they raised their three children. She lived life with her family at the forefront and with passion evident in all things she did. Her resilience and insurmountable fight was an inspiration to everyone around her.

Beth had a profound appreciation for gardening and in her free time spent countless hours in the backyard tending to her flowers, often with Jim by her side. Beth enjoyed a spontaneous dance at home with her son & buddy James and, later, teaching him how to plant and maintain the garden. She rarely turned down a shopping trip or dinner date with her youngest, Caitlin, and cherished their last trip together to the Biltmore Estate. Beth enjoyed trips to Virginia to see her daughter Meghan and could never turn down reading a bedtime book to her grandsons.

Beth is preceded in death by her husband James and is survived by her children Meghan (Marc), James (Sarah), and Caitlin; and grandchildren Brayden and Noah.

A public visitation will be held on Sunday, July 11, 2021 from 12 to 4pm at Hultgren Funeral Home in Wheaton. A funeral Mass honoring the lives of both Beth and Jim Schwark will be held on Monday, July 12, 2021 at 10:30 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Winfield followed by interment at Assumption Cemetery.
