Elijah Scott Rosengren, age 3, is in the perfect paradise of heaven with our loving savior Jesus who cares deeply, and loves completely, our beautiful son – Eli.

Eli embodied the virtue of joy since birth. His kind heart and warmth of spirit brought ceaseless joy to his parents and loved ones on earth. Eli looked up to his big brother, Bruce, in every way and Bruce doted on Eli every single day. Eli was cared for so sweetly by his big sister, McKenna. They would laugh, play and adventure together everywhere there was magic to be found.

So many who knew Eli would share how sweet he was, followed by a story of something he'd done to brighten their day or care for another child. His care for others and generous heart has changed our lives. We are blessed by the too little time we had with him. We mourn deeply for the life we longed for him to have here on earth. We pray and pray and pray for peace that comes only through Jesus' promises and resurrection.

May this suffering be a moment while our eternal joy is in heaven.

"Jesus said, let the little children come to me… and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 16th at Glen Ellyn Evangelical Covenant Church.
