Eleanor F. Routson Schultz, age 88, a resident of Wyndemere in Wheaton, and formerly a longtime resident of Villa Park, died Tuesday, August 17 at the Wynscape Nursing Center in Wheaton. She was born on February 27, 1916 in Chicago to William and Elsie Kerr.
Mrs. Schultz was a homemaker and accomplished seamstress. She was a member of Harvard Ave. Evangelical Free Church in Villa Park for many years.
Eleanor is survived by her husband, Robert Schultz of Wyndemere, three children, Jean R. (Charles) Erickson of Wheaton, Donald W. (Cheryl) Routson of Albuquerque, NM, and Richard C. (Diane) Routson of Wheaton, six grandchildren, Charles Jr., Bryan, and Douglas Erickson, Anne Saxon, and Sarah and Thomas Routson, one great-grandson, David Erickson, one brother, Robert (Barbara) Kerr, and one sister, Grace (Tom) Lauer.
She was preceded in death by first husband, Donald E. Routson, her parents, one brother, William W. Kerr and one sister Ruth Beasler.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 19, from 3 until 9 p.m. at the Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton, where a funeral service will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. with David Brown officiating.
Interment will follow at Naperville Cemetery.
