Eleanor E. Pearson, age 84, a resident of The Fountains at Crystal Lake, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at The Fountains at Crystal Lake She was born August 23, 1929 to Clarence and Elsie Hamman.

Eleanor grew up in Elmwood Park and graduated from Proviso East in 1947. She married C. William Pearson in June of 1954. They settled in Hoffman Estates in 1961 where Bill worked for Guardian Electric. During retirement they lived in Buffalo Grove. She worked for AWANA as the secretary to the founder.

She loved the Lord and was a longtime member of Medinah Baptist Church, where she worked in AWANA, served as a greeter and Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed needlework and knitting.

She is survived by two children, David (Donna) Pearson of Streamwood, and Jean (Steven) Benedetto of McHenry, and five grandchildren, Jessica (Trent) Felver, Brent and Nate Pearson, and Nick and Julie Benedetto.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Medinah Baptist Church , 900 Foster Ave., Medinah, IL, where a funeral service will follow at 6:00 P.M. Interment will be held privately at Wheeling Township Cemetery in Arlington Heights, Illinois.
