Obituary
Eleanor L. "Ellie" Erickson, age 80, a resident of Windsor Park Manor in Carol Stream, and formerly of Wheaton, and Glen Ellyn, died Monday, September 13, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. She was born March 25, 1924 in Chicago.
Mrs. Erickson was a member of the Wheaton College Alumni Association, and the Glen Ellyn Evangelical Covenant Church. She was also a service volunteer for the Central DuPage Hospital for many years.
Ellie believed the words of Hebrews 11:1, "Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the confidence of things not seen", and is experiencing their meaning even now.
She is survived by her husband, Alfred G.; her son, Scott (Lynette) of Marshfield, WI; her two daughters, Lynn Erickson of Wheaton, and Susan Carr (Douglas Buethe) of Winfield; and six grandchildren, Kristin, Ryan, and Nicole Fortin, and Jennifer, Joel, & Alyssa Erickson.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Norma Montag, Thelma Cogan, Vivian Gustafson, and Martha Eloise Thorson.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Windsor Park Manor in Carol Stream. Interment was private at Wheaton Cemetery.
