Eleanor Theresa Dougherty, age 80, a resident of Westmont, IL, passed away peacefully with her family at her side November 2, 2020.

Eleanor, "Ellie," was born January 2, 1940, in Martindale, PA.  Ellie was a gentle, humble and kind woman who served others with her life. She dedicated her life to raising her six children with her husband, Dennis. She suffered from Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, a disease that is related to Parkinson's Disease, in her final years.

She is survived by her children, Eugene (Lisa) Dougherty of Los Alamos, NM; Joseph (Kristina Kerwin) Dougherty of Wheaton, IL; Eva Dougherty of Wheeling, IL; Andrew Dougherty of Flint, MI; and Kate (Tom) Musick of Downers Grove, IL. She is also survived by her five siblings, Shirley Spahr of Palymra, PA; Margie (Charlie) Cooper of Manheim, PA; Richard (Susie) Hilton of North Port, FL; Eugene (Marita Hines) Hilton of Marietta, PA; and Louise (Philip) Windus of Belmont, NY. She is also survived by her five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Dougherty; her daughter Ann Dougherty; her father, Paul Hilton; and her mother, Susie (nee Good) Hilton.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 from 5:30 to 8:00 at Hultgren Funeral Home in Wheaton, IL. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m.   Family and friends may watch the service on a livestream here: https://youtu.be/XBYU8hhrnZo
