Obituary

Eleanor E. Carter, age 84, a resident of Wheaton, and formerly of Arlington Heights, died suddenly, Monday, August 29, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. She was born May 13, 1921 in Eldon, MO.

During World War II, Eleanor worked for the Army Corps of Engineers in Kansas City. She has always been an active member of her local church, serving for decades as a Sunday School teacher. She loved her family and often planned get-togethers. Her family treasured her prayers for them and knew her as a prayer warrior. One of her favorite scripture passages was Psalm 23.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda (David) Kroeze of Wheaton; her five grandchildren, Steven (Alison) Kroeze of Wheaton, Erin (Roy) Gayton of Carol Stream, Ryan Kroeze, a student at the University of Illinois in Champaign, David Kroeze of Wheaton, and Kristin Kroeze of Wheaton; and her great-granddaughter, Kelsey Rae Gayton.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Raymond Floyd.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 3, from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at 10:00 A.M. at Wheaton Bible Church, corner of Main and Franklin Streets. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens in Arlington Heights.
