Elberta "Birtie" Hobson's Obituary
Elberta "Birtie" Hobson, age 94, a resident of West Chicago, IL, died Monday, November 3, 2014, at home. She was born October 7, 1920 in Groveland, IL to Dorotha (nee Shanbeck) and Joseph Schnur.
Birtie worked for many years with the ESPE Manufacturing Company. She was a counselor for teenagers at church where she also played the organ.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Albert Hobson.
She was preceded in death by her three sisters, Opal, Mildred and Wilma.
Services and interment will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. at Groveland Evangelical Mennonite Church Cemetery in Groveland, IL.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be directed to the Gideon Bible Society, PO Box 5011, Morton, IL 61550; or to World Vision , PO Box 70224, Tacoma, WA 98481-0224; or to Grace To You , PO Box 4000, Panorama City, CA 91412; or to Joni and Friends , PO Box 6088, Albert Lea, MN 56007-6688.
