Eileen F. Dennis, age 102, passed away March 9, 2020 at Belmont Village in Carol Stream. She was born January 31, 1918 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to John and Otelia Messerly. Eileen attended local schools – entered Fort Dodge Senior High School at the age of 12 and Tobin Business College at the age of 16. She was a secretary for Walter CK Printing Company, where she met her future husband, Del W. Dennis. They were married September 8, 1939. She was also employed by Minogue Insurance Agency.

She was preceded in death by her husband Del W.; her son Del L.; her daughter Linda Kifer; her daughter-in-law Nancy Dennis; her brothers: Arthur, Clarence & Wilfred Messerly; her sister Mabel Gross; her sisters-in-law Lucille & Elizabeth; and her brother-in-law Elliott Gross.

She is survived by her son Gary; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was a WWII military wife, a Vietnam military mother (Gary), and a military grandmother (Del A.).

A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home , 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, Illinois 60187, with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at River Hills Memorial Park in Batavia, Illinois.
