Edwin E. Fromer, age 78, a resident of Wayne, Illinois, entered the presence of his Lord and Savior on January 11, 2020, at home. He was born February 21, 1941 to Howard and Laura Fromer.

Coming from a humble beginning, Edwin was raised on a farm in rural Indiana. His love of farming carried on throughout his life. He graduated with a bachelors degree at Indiana University and then went on to earn his masters of accounting at the University of Illinois. While obtaining his CPA credentials, he developed an impressive employment resume which included working at a top 10 CPA firm. Despite the ups and downs of life and the loss of two children, he demonstrated steadfast perseverance and ultimately opened up his own successful accounting firm in 1987. Throughout his life he donated his skills and time as a board member of Youth for Christ and Open Door for Teens. He also was involved with Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Saret Charitable Fund, to name a few. He had many passions in life including golf, gardening with his son and traveling the world with his beloved bride. If you knew Ed, he loved spoiling his family, especially his grandkids. The only thing more important than family was his love for Jesus Christ.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nancy Fromer; his children Kristie (James) Hoekwater & Gregory Fromer; his grandchildren Courtney, Tyler & Jenna Hoekwater; his siblings Barbara (Robert) Thomas, Paula (the late Raymond) Pyles & Roger (Julie) Fromer; and his nieces.

Preceded in death by his son Jay Fromer; his daughter Kellie Fromer; and his granddaughter Brittany Hoekwater.

A visitation will be held Friday, January 17, 2020, from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home , 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, Illinois. A funeral service will be held at Wheaton Bible Church , 27W500 North Ave, West Chicago, Illinois, on Saturday, January 18, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Wayne Township Cemetery in West Chicago, Illinois.
