Edward J. Sheehan, age 73, a resident of Wauconda, and formerly of Bolingbrook, died Monday, June 25, at Joliet Hospice Home in Joliet. He was born September 27, 1933 in Chicago.
Ed served in the Army during the late 1950's. He worked for Illinois Bell as a PBX Installer and was a member of Local 134.
He is survived by his son, Kevin (Cathleen) Sheehan of Wheaton; three daughters, Mary (Tom) Kayrouz of Salem, VA, Theresa (Jim) Alberico of Wilmington, and Margaret (Frank) Sciabica of Seattle, WA; 11 grandchildren, Thomas and Erin Sheehan, John, Kara, and Matthew Kayrouz, Chris, Katie, and Liz Alberico, and Race, Ava, and Zane Sciabica; his brothers, Patrick Sheehan of Chicago, and Kevin (Sue) Sheehan of Des Plaines; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Sheehan, nee Crowley; his parents, Thomas and Mary Sheehan; his brother, Michael Sheehan; and his sister, Mary Theresa Ignoffo.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 27, from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 28, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Michael Catholic Church, 310 S. Wheaton Ave., in Wheaton. Prayers will be said at the funeral home at 9:15 A.M. Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
