Edward A. Reynolds, age 91, a resident of Rockton and formerly of Chicago, died Monday, May 1 at home. He was born on June 12, 1914 in Chicago to John and Kathryn Reynolds.
Mr. Reynolds served as an MP in the Army during WWII. He worked for the Chicago Transit Authority from 1951 until 1977 as a sheet metal worker and also as a bus driver in Palatine for 10 years. He was a member of The VFW in Roscoe and the American Legion in Rockton.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ann, four daughters, Kathryn (Steve) Ritza of CA, Patricia (Skip) Field of Winfield, Deborah (Michael) Carroll of Oak Park and Jackie Reynolds of Roscoe, eight grandchilren, and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by Ann's siblings, Margaret McCarthy, Chris Walls and Frank (Tina) Pantelakis.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Vincent B. Reynolds and his parents.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 3 from 3 to 9 pm, at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton. A mass will be held on Thursday at 10 am at St. Isadore Catholic Church, Army Trail and Gary Rd. in Bloomingdale.
