Edward Meyer's Obituary
Edward Meyer, age 83, a resident of Downers Grove, IL, died Wednesday, February 25, at Sunrise Assisted Living in Glen Ellyn, IL. He was born August 25, 1925 in Chicago, IL.
Mr. Meyer was the owner of E. Meyer Service Auto Glass in Lombard, IL and Naperville, IL. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Downers Grove for many years.
He is survived by his four children, Carol Ann (Michael) Harris, Edward P. Meyer, Sandra Jean (Larry) Dilworth, and Ken (Betzi) Meyer; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Grace Wesley, Theresa Clark, Margaret Bowen, Martha Mulholland, Gertrude Beaumont, and Joan DeVries; and his brother, Raymond Meyer.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Eleanor; his brother, John Meyer; and his daughter-in-law, Marsha.
A visitation will be held on Monday, March 2, 2009 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of a funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church of Downers Grove, 929 Maple Ave., in Downers Grove, IL. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens South in Oak Lawn, IL.
